How does HIV treatment work? How long does it take to become undetectable? What’s the difference between a CD4 and T-cell count? And what about viral loads and drug resistance?

If you have questions about HIV care and treatment, you’re not alone. Thankfully, the easy-to-understand video explainer series #AskTheHIVDoc is here to help. Originally launched in 2015, the series recently posted a new collection of short videos featuring “Dr. David,” aka David Malebranche, MD, MPH, from the Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta.

Here’s a video introduction to Dr. David:

In his practice, Malebranche specializes in the treatment and prevention of HIV and sexually transmitted infections. What’s more, his professional interests include addressing racial inequalities and LGBT health.

These free and easy-to-understand videos offer members of all communities a simple way to empower and educate themselves with knowledge.
