I'm surprised there was no mention of the big ANCHOR study that is studying whether screening for & treating high grade anal lesions can prevent anal cancer. It's enrolling at centers nationwide, and provides free anal pap smears & anoscopies. More info on the study available here: https://anchorstudy.org/
