Looking at the abstract (full study not available) it refers to "heavy marijuana use", not pot smoking per se. So it's impossible to know if the increased CVD risk is due to smoking marijuana, or the inherent effects of marijuana itself. Given that many people now vape, dab, eat it, or use tinctures, it seems they could have been more rigorous here--since they're raising more questions than they're answering.
