I've been HIV+ since 1984. Pretty good health. Started going to the gym about 4 months ago because my belly is so huge. I lose weight everywhere but my stomch. Am I just stuck with this? Anybody else in this boat?
I have the same issue, my meds I was on 20 years ago took all my fat off my limbs and distributed it in my stomach. I look like I’m 12 months pregnant with triplets. If anyone knows how to help please tell me.
I need to know what can help my belly is as big as the 8months pregnant woman. I started ARVs on 2012, 37 years old.
Insurance will probably not cover any treatment related to a big belly. Nobody ever died of a big belly. If so, most American men -- hiv positive or not -- would have one foot in the grave. Anything to do with how one looks is considered cosmetic and elective.
If it's HIV related, will insurance cover any treatments or is it considered cosmetic?

I am only 61 kgs but my stomach is protruding. This is so depressing :(
