He gave up playing top basketball because some wouldn't play with him or against him. That was sad.

I recall coming home from work that day and feeling sad for this man and yet somewhat grateful that someone famous who wasn’t a closeted (as far as we knew) and out gay.celeb like Rock Hudson. . . . someone “normal “ got AIDS! It was Earth-shattering, and I wasn’t into most professional sports at the time. Glad MJ’s (& his love Cookie) are still with us. Way to go!
