If you look closer then you will see that what has actually been done in the UK is more of a shifting of the stricter criteria that was on gay male blood-donors put on to to all blood-donors. There is a bit of relaxation for gay men, but overall it's that all people will have to meet higher criteria. It's sort of fair I suppose.
