Way to go Glenna. I walked a similar path. 25 years ago I was lost in the grip of addiction and came close to losing my life. I was able (with much help and the prayers of family and friends) to get clean and get my life back. I currently work as a Social Worker in a homeless Veteran's program and I'm a few weeks away from getting a MSW and licensure. I hope to become a clinical counselor and help those who are going through the same thing I went through. Thank you for sharing.

Glenna, your blog deserves a comment, so here's my appreciation. The world is blessed to have care givers who have learned the valuable lesson that everybody deserves attention and respect. That seems to be the one thing I have learned, since becoming hiv positive in 1986. Too many people are not feeling seen or heard, and I am happy to read of your story line. Thank you for being you- that's really all it takes, plus a willingness to hear another person's story with an open heart. God bless.
