Not good for anyone living on fixed income over the age of 55+, many now set-up in housing, dealing not just with HIV, but also various cancers, mental illesses. There's no way for this population to rebound, may with savings below $2,000 getting by on rent subsides, food assistance, meals on wheels, drug assistance, etc. Trying to stay healthy is hard enough, add this to the mix and some may just decide it's time to die, sucide rates will climb.
