POZ has been serving the community of people living with and those affected by HIV/AIDS since 1994. POZ has also been serving Spanish speakers since 1997 when we introduced the print POZ en Español. POZ en Español was printed 19 times between 1997 and 2004.

Over the years, we have introduced additional content in Spanish including rolling out a big section of POZ Basics in Spanish with the acqusition of AIDSmeds in 2006. Those Basics were given a major overhaul in 2018 under the guidance of our POZ editor-in-chief Oriol R. Gutierrez Jr. and Science Editor Liz Highleyman. You can currently find more than 20 Spanish Basics here covering a range of topics from newly diagnosed to a guide to HIV and your overall health.

Last year, we re-introduced POZ en Español in print with the Fall 2020 edition featuring an interview with youth novel author Lucas Rocha who weaves a web of HIV, friendship and fun in his novel Where We Go From Here. Look for more information on future issues of POZ en Español shortly.

Not to be outdone, POZ’s sister site Tu Salud, a leading health magazine and website covering a broad range of health issues affecting all Latinos, released a new digital issue in 2021 all about sexual health in both English and Spanish. Several issues of Tu Salud are also in Spanish or in both English and Spanish.
