Choosing to breastfeed your baby while living with HIV is a complicated choice that comes with a lot of contradictory information and an overwhelming lack of support, particularly in the US.

Our upcoming webinar, Breastfeeding and HIV: What We Know and Considerations for Informed Choices” helps sort out fact from fiction in order to better support mothers living with HIV and the health of your children. Hear from two women living with HIV, their choices around breastfeeding, and some of the reasons behind their decisions. Also, we’ll have expert speakers on the topic to help us understand the research we currently have, and the benefits and risks around breastfeeding while living with HIV.

When: Thursday, December 13, 2018

Where: Online

Time: 1:00 pm - 2:30pm Eastern

Who: The Well Project’s Krista Martel, Lena Serghides, PhD, Jenell Coleman, MD, MPH, HIVE’s Shannon Weber, MSW. Also joining are two women living with HIV, Claire Gasamagera and Jessica Whitbread, who will share their personal experiences with breastfeeding while positive.
